I think it's stupid to count all enemies kill as 100% category.

I think that the 100% category should be based for chests instead of all enemies. All enemies kill should have a different category or included in 100% run which include all chests and kills.

100% is completing all the medals that can be earned in the stage(s) which is defined by the game, which has nothing to do with chests. Not sure what you are trying to say because getting chests losses you time and if your doing speedruns you are not farming for gear anyways.

I get a slight impression you have not really even played Rev2-Raid or at all based on your post, because if you did you would know how silly your opinion is when you actually look at or have played the game enough to know.

Also I find it very ignorant to make topic posts that are straight up just complaining about things in a rude way rather then a proper topic title followed up with some actual discussion pertaining to it rather then your simple "I don't like this" post and that is not even remotely correct at all.

Chests arent part of it cause that is more towards grinding. If you want to get them in your run, that is fine but it isnt required. It even states in the rules of 100%, get all the medals in one run in one life (dont use a crystal). Raid mod ein this game isnt ran enough on this site to have a new category made imo.

@MASH really ?

@Soulless_Persona I've readed them except the part where you have to show your weapons. I keep on eye on this. However how does full gauntlet run work for consoles. I mean for ex: full gauntlet VIII do we base it on the total time or is there a way to track it.

You just add the times you get within a single run. You cannot redo a level during the run and has to be in one life throughout. I tend to use a site to add up all my times (I use this one personally http://www.grun1.com/utils/timeCalc.html) Just make sure you do not cut out going into the vestibule and going into the next level. This makes sure we know you arent splicing/making a segmented run.

Newer runs like others do not even bother with chests as they are not essential requirement for completing all medals. As Soulless has mentioned we add IGT from all stages to get the total time it took to clear a Gauntlet set. Showing your setup/loadout for this games much like others allow for proofing gear and additional verification for runs as well as to showcase what was used to preform the run. We do a similar thing for Monster Hunter IL runs as there is vast amounts of builds that can drastically affect runs. Using IGT as we have it is a even playing field for everyone when attempting runs regardless of platform.

We have older discussion topics and information on the threads of previous discussion way back from when the lot of us were running Raid mode myself included around that time as we discussed many things, there is no reason to have any other categories outside what we have as it covers every aspect that matters to the game and going fast which is our goal when doing runs. 100% runs are Completionism/Challenge runs in a sense were as the fastest runs will always be the Any% runs which don't require you to met a Character Lvl req when attempting runs.

TBH kinda want to get back to the game because I left it when working on other things at the time and never finished what I wanted to with speedruns because the grind at the time was time consuming, which is why the 100% runs were mainly my focus back then as you don't need crazy gear to start getting into those runs but it sure helps to have better gear and character skills to some extent.

Grinding in Rev 2 isnt too bad (at least for character levels/skills) so it shouldnt be too hard to get back into it. I just tend to do events more so than the src speedruns for raid. But for src, you dont need the greatest weapons to do the runs thankfully. You can get decent runs without all the highest tags/parts/etc

There's literally a "completion" medal for 100% and you think that arbitrarily opening 3 or 4 chests should be the requirements. If it's not CR I don't even bother opening chests, and if it is CR it's only the ones I pass by without too much of a detour. Waste of time picking up low level parts/guns. Not to mention that your overall medal count actually matters whereas opening low level chests is, at some point, not worth the time. It takes no skill to open 3 or 4 chests whereas knowing where all the enemies are spawning, what they are, what to use, having the quickest and most efficient way to deal with them, taking the best route, etc actually has enough of a skill range to make it competitive. I think of stage V-3 where there's literally all the chests right there at the start how does walking 10 feet and opening them add any meaningful difficulty to completing the stage? It does not. In a lot of stages it would take away from the difficulty because there's not an incentive to quickly kill something(s) and move on when you're having to walk way out of your way anyways for a chest.

Grinding for gear is the best part of the game. You quickly level up all your characters and inherit all of their exclusive skills, complete all the records, and clear all of the gauntlets. Eventually you're left with finding the best weapons and parts that work for you and that varies from person to person, stage to stage, any% to 100%. You don't need the perfect gun and the perfect parts because there is no perfect gun for all scenarios and there is no perfect attachment setup that's always going to be the best choice for everyone. Plus it's co-op so if you want help leveling or farming or whatever I'm down.

Back to the main topic though opening chests for 100% makes no sense. If it was required for the completion medal, then maybe but thankfully it's not and the requirements for 100% are things that actually require some effort.
