Just a little reminder about the Timer rule

In order to match the classic speedrun timers in beat em ups and also the brother of this game FF3, the timer now has to start when you take the control of your character.

Enjoy your speedruns guys.

Good to know, thanks. Will stop pressing on character selection.

Well, that's interesting news indeed. Time to redo splits again. lol

Well, that turned out to be harder then I thought. For anyone running this game, the best time to start your time is when your character's life bar and timer appear on screen, that IS when you gain control of your character. Its a lot harder if your using a laptop like I do, but not impossible.

Not it has to start when you can actually gain control of him, i see what you're saying with a laptop key and controller that has to be ready for first jump inputs, some people use a pedal, i don't have problems on my side cause i bind the timer / reset on my L2 R2.

If you have problems don't worry you can also set your timer on negative count so you'll be able to start it on character select screen. put minus 7 second and it will work better for you man.

Wow, I had it right the whole time. I normally had it set to -6.35 or -6.37 but I'll try -7.00 next time though. Of course for RTA, I'll probably have to start the timer once I get control of my character.
