Hi. Im an up and coming speedrunner at this game and i think i may have discovered something by accident that saves a few seconds on an any % run. (Sorry if this is the wrong thread but there wasnt one for strategies)
I was practicing spongeglide and glitched to where i spongeglided level with the lifesaver, and instead of me hitting the rocks, i brushed past the lifeguard tower and went straight into the pier. I dont know if it is consistent, but if done you dont have to do 2 spongeglides.
martymcmoth - I have also been able to replicate this, unfortunately it was about a week before i got my elgato. Also with it, instead of sliding to the right of the lifeguard tower. I went to the right and barely cleared the other hill to get to the loading zone.

The thing about it was that i did it by accident. But im glad atleast somebody else has done it too. Also Kuehl_em i did the same. I clipped the loading zone for the pier.

I'm not locking this thread so you can make more threads like this that will be deleted. 200% is not a meme category: its purpose is to showcase CB in levels that it would otherwise be unviable in one full run, and its route differs greatly compared to all other categories. Extended Cheat% would just be an easier 200% that shows less of the run.
You should run the game before recommending categories. It will make your opinions better.
