So, I recently wanted to start learning this game, but I have a question regarding the hard-resets. If I'm on 3DS VC, am I allowed to use the Virtual Console menu to hard-reset?

I have no experience playing this game on 3DS, but a hard reset is a hard reset, so I assume it's fine. It's not like it gives you an advantage over a GBC or GBP that resets immediately.

3DS VC is weird, it's an official release so it shouldn't ban any features, but at the same time bottom screen menu also has savestates, and that's a bit sketchy to put into rules...

IMO if VC menu reset is a hard reset, just use it.

I've never seen someone do a run on 3DS yet, so it should be cool to watch when you decide to start doing runs :P
