I am told that for the Easy Mode and Load game leaderboards, the only actual difference is that you don't have to pick up the Magnum and Bruce is switched with Fongling's character model.
If so, then there's no reason to even have two leaderboards for it, is there? I created the Load Game board without any understanding that it wasn't that different from Easy Mode speedruns.
On higher difficulties, Normal and Hard, the damage values are ramped up and supplies are scarce, so I can see a reason to keep those separated, but what do you guys think about merging Easy and Load Game?
But thats unfair for people who just want to run Easy New Game, cause techincally Load Game is faster by like 10 seconds, and load game is basically new game plus, you cant merge "new game plus" and "new game" together, that makes no sense whatsoever, in my opinion the load game category should just be removed all together or just left as it is, cause merging the 2 is a really bad idea imo.
I'd like to point out that yes, indeed runs are in the Load Game category. However, neither of them is even faster than the easy WR. That category seems pretty much pointless. Merging the two categories together would kill the New Game category, which would devaluate even more runs than just the two in Load Game. I think the solution is pretty apparent, either delete Load Game or just leave stuff as it is currently, if you do not want to remove the two runs in Load Game.
So far the stance is neutral on removing it but nobody wants to merge. I'll wait for more people to chip in their opinion but so far the correct action seems to be "do nothing".
It is my personal opinion it doesn't kill New Game if there are other difficulties that are radically different from Easy and Load Game.
Well to be honest, the only other difference for the other difficulties is also just not having to pick up certain weapons, thats it, for Easy its just the magnum, but for Normal and Hard its the Shotgun and the Magnum, thats it, it does not make the run any easier, it just makes it so you dont have to pick up those guns since you already have them.
