I am not a speedrunner, but I was playing this game casually last night and came across this weird glitch in the vehicle mission for crystal skull part 2.

When the final forest cutter boss came up I ended up walking up to it and the level was beaten without me defeating it.

I'm not sure if this is already known knowledge but I couldn't find any information about it and looked at some speedruns and saw that they didn't use it, so I'm assuming this is unknown.

I was also playing on PS3. So is this an already known thing?

Pretty sure this is just a glitch for you. I just tried to do this and nothing was happening. Unless it’s PlayStation exclusive, which I doubt it is. Xbox is no luck for this, not sure about PC or the Wii though.

I have had a similar behavior happen (Source: https://www.twitch.tv/wiisuper/clip/SlickTsundereEggSuperVinlin ). I think its caused by the Jungle Cutter entering the quicksand causing it to die instantly, however I have never been able to replicate it. Unfortunately it really wouldn't save much as you can kill it with your own jungle cutter very quickly but it is still some interesting behavior.

seems like a luck based thing. if it happens, it happens, if not, whatever it is kinda cool tho
