Need help with livesplit

I've tried out livesplit for the first time. Even though I've watched the intro video I havent been able to figure this out. I'm a totalt noob to it and never tried it out myself

The times I hightlighted on the picture. I would like if there could be a specific time there and it wouldnt reset every time I push Numpad 1. ie set the first segment to 1 min 42 seconds. ANd the next to 7 minutes 6 seconds etc etc.

Hope you can understand.

Can't check the image right now, but what functionalities are you specifically referring to? LiveSplit is pretty simplistic to operate, are you talking about having an offset at the start of your run so that it counts backwards from negative time before the timer starts?

As for splits afterwards, I'm not sure what you mean by setting them to specific times, the point is that it's variable based on your pace, and that it tracks the time of your run. The splits that you see people use are the result of their last PB run, nothing more. You CAN manually set split times and values, but it's not commonly used because comparing to PB is often the preferred method.

@Flunksch not sure if i understand, but to set specific times to each splits you have to right click -> edit splits and put the time in the split time tab.

1:42 7:06

if the time doesnt show up then right click again and go in "compare against" -> and click personal best.

Hey guys.

Thanks for the help. Sorry for being such a noob to livesplit and english.

Anyway. - if you look at the guy who has the world record for Postal 2 and his run here. http://www.speedrun.com/run/1zx0755z

If you look at his times it says 1.42 at the first and 4.23 at the next etc etc etc. whenever he get to the point where he has to split it and go further down the time 1.42 stays. Mine just says 0:01 when I do that. and thats what I dont want it to do. Does it make sense now? :/

Québec

the 1:42 and the 4:23 are his time when he split

all you do is start your timer when you start the run and split when you have to... i guess

the 0:01 mean you didnt start the timer at the right time?(you have to manually start and split)
