Well bois It's almost the end of the year (6 or 7 days? until 2020) How have you guys done in completing your goals? If you didn't complete a goal you set out to get, can you explain why? Here's an example for me:

Ok so, why I didn't achieve my goals: I didn't get smb1 any% WR for what I would say 2 reasons.
- Somewhere around March, I shifted my mindset for the worse, and lost an extreme amount of my dedication that I used to have, which meant that I was grinding significantly less than I should have been. If I still had the dedication, I could have at least got close, but probably not it for the 2nd reason.
- In April, I decided to switch from doing blazit to 2 bump 4-2 because I found myself really struggling with blazit but going thicco mode with 2 bump 4-2. It started with my messing up blazit for like a minute straight but then getting 2 bump 4-2 first try. I spent quite a while on grinding 2 bump 4-2 over blazit, maybe a month or so, and then one day I was in Kosmic's chat, and I said something along the lines of "you can get 455 with 2 bump 4-2" somewhere in there, and then Kosmic said "you would quit before you get 455 with 2 bump 4-2" and I said "o ok wen will I quit?" and he said "never... prove me wrong." So I spent something like an additional 6-7 months grinding with 2 bump 4-2 instead of blazit. At the end of it, Kosmic said that he wanted me to stop trying with 2 bump 4-2 and go back to blazit. At first I was hesitant, as I was doing something one way for 7-8 months and now I'm supposed to switch bacc, but later on I kinda accepted that Kosmic is not wanting me to "waste" my time with 2 bump 4-2 and to switch bacc to blazit. So now I'm bacc to blazit.
ok thicc text The reason I didn't get my other goals would just be because of reason #1, since I wasn't as dedicated as I could be I had less time grinding and therefore got less done than I otherwise could have.

well I have a 5:08 in any%, which could be a lot lower but 8-3 fucked me over a lot, but recently i've gotten it better and now 8-4 keeps fucking me over, so easy to loose time in that level, my pb would be a high 5:04 by now if i stopped sucking ass at all of it
Gg aldyn, you were one of my lesser-known (no offense by that pls) favorites to watch when I started running.
I started submitting cellphone videos on a modded wii, first run was a 5:55 with a bbg in it. This was February.
Got sub 5 in September (4:59 twice now, mini pb last month) and wr in 10 walljumps. Pretty proud of both although 10wj is meme. Still grinding for 4:57, I now have 5+ runs a day on pace to the bullet shot. Just gotta do it lol
I have definitely surprised myself this year. All I put for my 2019 speedrun goal was sub 5 any%. As of the last day of 2019, I have a 4:57.360 and am closing in on 456. 2019 has been a great year for speedrunning and I can't wait to see what speedrun times I'll get in 2020!
My goal for 2019 was a 5:02 - 5:01. I wanted to have a sub 5 by march 2020. I ended up getting sub 5 on December 30th 2019. I think my goal for the end of this year will be mid to low 4:57
