should VC be a different category

From what i have seen VC seems to be a lot faster than SNES. It very clearly does not emulate lag well and the menu's seem to open near instant even with full inventory. i don't think it would be much of an exaggeration to say that it could easily be over 5 minutes faster from not having spawn/menu lag but i havent actually timed it myself. Im curious about other people's opinions and would really like if we could actually test the timing differences. but i have had this topic come up multiple times in stream and feel it should be discussed

its definitely something that should be better tested and compared. i think it what it ultimately leads to is even more questions about emulation. if vc becomes a separate category, are we then forced to separate console and emulator runs? we've got to keep it consistent across the board if we're going dig deep into the differences between platforms.

I am definitely available to help test whatever you need, just let me know, it seems to me that the game generates lag with spawns on screen like normal though

so ive watched a couple vc runs and there is without a doubt spawn lag and menu lag the same you would get on console or emu.

Christmas Island

there is laf but the amount of lag doesnt seem the same at all imo

i honestly dont think it constitutes having a different category. we're talking differences in frames per menu if theres any difference at all.

Only way to know for sure is to test/time it out.

i know for some games VC runs at a faster framerate too. i don't know if its true for this game or not though
