Hi everyone. I'm new here and I hope this is the right place to post this (if not feel free to point me in the right direction). I don't consider myself a speedrunner. I'm a more casual gamer and I'm going for a complete livingdex in gen 3. I've already completed the Kanto dex from FR/LG and figured that I could use an old speedrunning guide to quickly get through the games multiple times to get all the exclusives. It was a new and very fun way to enjoy the games. It was the first time in my life that I completed a Pokémon game in under 5 hours! Now I wanted to do the same for the Hoenn games, but the RNG manipulation stuff is proving to be way too hard for me to pull off. Is there maybe some old beginner-friendly route that still gets the job done without it? I'm not going for perfection here, I just want to enjoy the games in a new and more efficient way without having to spend too much time replaying through the same story two or three times over just to get all the exclusives.
