For profile pictures, it would be cool if images that have a transparent background showed up transparent on the site as well. When part of an image is transparent, it shows up all white instead.
Weird, because in the top left corner of my screen next to "Games" it has a full white background instead of transparency.
I tried adding a profile icon a few days ago with a transparent background, but it would always show up with a white rectangle instead.
I was talking about the small one, but I think the OP was talking about the big one.
@Pear Well, I see the pictures (both profile and icon) with transparent background for @MagicMason1000 . Do you see a white background for them? My small cat icon has transparent background as well, do you see it transparent or white?
Yeah I see transparent backgrounds for all of those, but when I tried to do one for my own profile it showed up as white background.
@Pear and @MagicMason1000, what are the file type of the images you tried putting as your profile image/icon?
@Oreo321 and @Pear, judging by the fact that they said the picture in the top left next to "Games" I'm guessing they are actually talking about the logo on their profile page, which does have a white background. It does seem to just be the picture that is like that though, even though it's a PNG, unless the site does something to the image server-side after it's been uploaded.
@MagicMason1000 are you sure you uploaded the correct file? As a sidenote the logo image is supposed to contain the text "speedrun.com" in some fashion, though I am not sure how strict the site is about that when it comes to logos on peoples profile pages.

I was trying on mobile, so I should probably try doing this on my PC.
Sorry none of these replies were being sent to me. It has a normal transparency when I go onto threads and when I'm on my profile, but always in the top left corner of the site is where it has a white rectangle around my icon.
EDIT: And I've edited the image myself and removed the background and it works on other things, so not sure what it is doing here. It's not the worst thing in the world though so I was just wondering if there was anything I could fix it with.
@MagicMason1000 This picture is in the "speedrun.com logo" field, which is different than your picture in the "User picture" field. Your picture in the logo actually has white background, so there is no bug there. Also, I'm pretty sure that pictures in the logo must have the text "speedrun.com" in some form.
You don't get notifications for replies in threads on the main forum afaik.
