is it allowed to speedrun on something like the XPOs rom hack that shows your pixel position instead of time? Im assuming no but I would like an answer.

afaik rom hacks with xpos and whatnot are not allowed for almost all SMB categories like any% and warpless. only notable exception is 8-4 IL

Only individual level is runs allow rom hacks like that. 8-4 IL and 1-1 ad fire Mario are the only two levels runs I’m currently aware Of.
