Made a new android app for the website

Made this app for a nanodegree project: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.artenes.speedbro

It still really rough in the edges but it is a little better that the other ones out there.

Also the source code is available at https://github.com/Artenes/speedbro for anyone interested.

Not a bad start, though it's missing a lot of functionality that I would need for it to actually be usable for me. I don't know what exactly you have planned, so I'm just gonna call what I see.

Most of the games I run or moderate use a lot of subcategories, so not having those available makes it somewhat unusable for those games. Furthermore, there also doesn't appear to be a way to see individual level runs. There's also things like forums and Discord invite links that aren't visible, though I understand that's currently impossible because of API limitations.

As for aesthetics, the boxes that contain runs are rather large, I'm only able to see two runs at a time. On the game pages, the upper area showing the game information should hide when you scroll down on the leaderboards, which would allow you to see more runs at a time.

Also, the ability to favourite runs seems... weird. I'm not really sure why you would want to favourite a specific run to be able to view that specific run right from the front page. It would make more sense to favourite games or users and then be able to see the newest runs from those games and players (or just jump straight to the game page or user profile).

Again, a good start, and I plan to follow (and possibly participate in) its development, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done, and in its current state I don't really see any reason to use it over just going to the site in a web browser.

Thanks for the feedback, ShikenNuggets. I agree with you that the app really is not that usefull for the users here. This was more just a project for a course that was doing rather than an app to be used by the community. I plan to slowly, but steady, add more substancial functionality to it, like the ones you have mentioned.

Actually all the data that I gather to show in the app is from scraping the website. I found the API not that usefull to show some data (like the latests runs) so I've decided to gather everything from scraping, so problems like invite links would not be a problem here.

I would appreciate any help if you have the time for it!

pretty cool stuff tbh. would love to see a fully working mobile version of the site, but hey, i can wait. good job!

To me, only a push-notification feature is useful for now.

@vodja Any chance you can make this open-source? Perhaps others would like to contribute.

The mobile browser version of the site is something that could be used as reference, right?
