All of the categories so far for Google Snake have been "Eat 25 apples" "Eat 100 apples" and so on, but I have an idea for a slightly unorthodox category for Sokoban 5 apple mode. My idea is to see how fast you can open all 5 boxes without eating the fruit inside. The run would end when there are five fruit fully visible onscreen.

I like where you're coming from, but if you really think about it, the run would just boil down to restarting until you get an optimal box placement, then doing that run in a pre-determined route. Due to the way the game handles time in ticks, the leaderboard would just end up being a bunch of people tied for first.

Also, since there's no in-game timer for such a category, the challenge would be further over-complicated by finding the optimal frame rate for the video; one which, when retimed, would give the fastest time compared to other frame rates.

Could be good as a meme category, I'll have to discuss with other mods first

If it would only count as a memecategory, then I might as well sugest a similar category, where you have to collect 25 apples on yin-yang mode only using the reversed snake.

Im not really sure about the idea, especially considering that multi mode would become near impossible to do All Apples.

Perhaps it could be that you have to make all of the apples appear, and then eat them? And keep on doing that for an category extension?

It feels a bit too short and deterministic, resulting in runs that all look the same, as EthaN said basically in other terms. Personally, I wouldn't find this category interesting enough to attempt.
