I just feel hurt because I made a legitimately sincere and respectful complaint and then got disrespected, shamed, and shut down by someone who i thought would seriously consider my suggestion, and to my surprise, he did not repay the respect I clearly showed in my constructive suggestion. This argument is pointless. Banning the A button is dumb because the second controller can do nothing, die from an enemy or pit and be back in the bubble. It doesn't make any sense banning the bubble either. I'm sure it takes multiple tries to get an optimal run in standard Any% with no deaths, and the chances of two to four players having that luck in the same run are even slimmer. Just remember this is not a serious category, and rules won't be changed because there's nothing to make it fair without being arbitrary in the rules that would likely cause more debate on the topic. To put it simply, this is a meme category that almost never gets ran, and doesn't need more confusion to go with it. Stick with what's there and work with it, regardless of your judgement towards the WR run.
Not saying i want it changed, i don't, not up to me. Maybe they don't run it because of this or they just have their heads in thier ass.
I’ve just been checking back on this thread once in a while to check up on the convo. Why don’t you just add it to the category extensions and be done with it @Stache ? I don’t see why this big fucking debate is necessary about a 2 player any% category when it could’ve been solved by just putting it “2 Player Any% No A button” in the category extensions and everyone who wants to run it can.
If he dosen't want to add he dosen't have too, any% multiplayer with no a is stupid as heck and its sad to see that people have their heads in the clouds so high they won't even care to see that Stache's replys against it EVEN EXISTS, Do people ever listen?
At that point it’ll just be him not adding a category out of pride given this is the exact type of run category extensions is for, being a stupid meme but at least the category has a purpose. If the any% multiplayer run was such a meme it should’ve been on that leaderboard in the first place and not here.
