NG Routing and Strats.
California, USA

Hey all! Now that we have NG and NG+ as different categories, I would love this thread to be used for ideas for NG routes and strats. I have a skeleton idea for this but it isnt finalized. Once my hands are better (carpel tunnel) I will be back actively routing this category :)

Thanks everyone!

So, I did a quick run last night and once thing I noticed in vanilla is that we get a crap ton of skills points. Like I feel like it took so much time because I wasnt allocating my skills correctly. I am going to try and Optimize this. But what I believe is the absolute minimum needed for the run is Trinity Smash, Stinger, Aerial Buy In, Buy In, Enemy Step, Double Jump, Angel Dodge, Demon Dodge, Snake Eye, Eryx Charge, and Feed. The only reason why you need Feed is because you have Osiris for sooo long before Aquila that you need the increase damage. Also you need the level 2's of all these skills as well. I am going to optimize these and figure what you need for which mission and by when. But you get more then enough Skill points in vanilla to obtain all of these easy. When I did my first run last night I got all of the Rebellion Skills and Arbiter skills on top of all of these. If you have anything else you think would be good let me know, but these are all I can think of for now!

Hey JellyFilledDoughnut how much skill points do the game give you after mission 1? Because I did some testing and I can purchase enemy step, stinger 1 and 2. What skills can you buy after mission 1?

Also I did some testing. And I'm not too sure if damage is reduced in DE. Well some like demon evade. But maybe spamming helm breaker jc will do the trick. Because when I test it out with hunter I realized that helm breaker did more damage than spamming the first hit of aerial rave or recycling aerial rave. So do that.

Hey! I don't remember because I didn't take notes... it was just a initial run through. But I think I had about 2-3 points per mission! When I can again I am taking thorough notes about everything! I just can't today! Maybe this weekend!

I did that run in the last Scrubathon, and it should cover the basics for NG runs. It's not perfect by any means, but it shows the upgrade path I've found to be the most efficient for real time along with the basic strats for fighting. Just remember this is a NG glitched run, so it doesn't cover every fight in the game, but enough to understand the basics.
