Please clarify run reject reason

My run was rejected for the following reason: "pal forced in 60 Hz is not accepted"

What does this mean? I played on at emulator at 50 frames per second.

What evidence supports the claim that this run was forced to 60 Hz?

Here is a video demonstrating the difference between PAL 50fps and PAL 60fps on emulator.

Comparing the two, it is obvious my submitted run was done on PAL 50fps.

If you are going to continue to reject my run, please provide evidence to support your claim.

If the game was running at this speed in 60 Hz you would not run a pal version... Before make a comparison, you need to learn about what you speak.

Pal 50 Hz = 25 fps and NTSC 60 Hz = 30 fps

"Even if for the fact that PAL forced 60HZ is banned, why isn't it in the rules?" because it's obviously a cheat to do that...

Where do our runs differ in how the game is being run? How does it make our runs different and can you show me that?

My in-game time matches realtime. With every other time on the leaderboard, all also in PAL, the realtime is equivalent to the in-game time plus the time from deaths.

I have explained this to you before. https://twitter.com/puchiedarcy/status/630472026914816000

How do you account for this? If my game ran faster, my in-game time would be faster than realtime.

And finally, why is this only being asked of me? Two other runners have times in PAL emu without question. Please explain why I am being singled out.

MG 1 is faster in pal version because of snake's speed is faster on pal. But Pal is running at 25 fps and you are running the game at 30 fps. You can put any fps, IGT and RTA will be the same.

If you want to run a pal game, play it at 25 fps that's all because you are playing a faster version and make it more faster playing it at 30 fps like ntsc games.

So, for other emulators runs, I will delete all the runs and now, you have to show fps on screen. I will only accept 25 fps for pal version and 30 for ntsc.

Quote: " you are running the game at 30 fps"

This is blatantly false. While my recording is 30fps from streaming, I have shown you I ran the game at 50fps in the above demonstration video.

While the PCSX2 emulator is running at 50fps, the game runs at an effective 25fps: Every frame is drawn twice; this is true for NTSC and PAL as I have previously documented here at line 62: https://pastebin.com/u9rCM0GY

What in the emulator setting would create the conditions you are describing? http://puu.sh/nMmwA/75a38ed33b.png

How is it that my run and your run have the same Snake movement speed? Snake moves the same tilespeed, our elevators move down at the same rate. If my run is running 5fps faster, how are our Snake speeds equals?

You still have not demonstrated an actual difference that your claim makes with regards to gameplay.

I did a quick and dirty spot comparison between puchiedarcy's video and one of the accepted emulator runs (all using PAL) a week ago, and I also noticed that Snake's movement (and also the music) in puchiedarcy's video move at the same pace as the accepted, which matched the movement and music in the video in this thread. I did not see any difference in game speed, and am therefore sure that puchiedarcy's run and at least one of the accepted videos that are now removed were run at the correct speed.

I agree with showing the fps if it is that easy to change in the emulator, but I think that the current accepted emulator runs (which were PAL) and puchiedarcy's were run at the correct speed.

Please read all PAL EMU runs, including my own.

Your claims of 50Hz/60Hz or 25fps/30fps are completely unfounded and unsupported.

Franche-Comté, France

Unfounded ? Lol http://ihffilm.com/videostandard.html (there is many other sources)

Now there is a rule for everyone, for emulator you have to show the framerate live during the run. If you don't show it, I will not accept the run.

If you don't want to follow the rule, don't submit your run. I deleted all the emulators run to make everyone egual with that rule, according to the other moderator.

The claims of "you are running the game at 30 fps" is unfounded. Why can't you prove my run accelerated as you claim? Why can't you show me a single gameplay difference this would yield?

How is my run different that your on console? Show me.

Why are you making arbitrary rules without discussing it with the rest of the runners? It's a blatant disregard of what the mod of a leaderboard should be doing.

Now accepting MGS Master Collection Vol. 1 runs!

Good news everyone. The testing has concluded and thus far no difference in movement speeds for the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 Versions of Metal Gear MSX have been found. The movement speed is the same as HD Collection and PS2 NTSC speeds. That's why you can now submit your Metal Gear
