If anyone could possible send me a link to a LiveSplit alternative for linux that would be amazing. And i'm not sure if PCSX2 is allowed or not i do have a regular console but don't have any recording software or hardware for external recording. Thank you so much everyone :D

If PCSX2 is not allowed what would be some good possibly cheap recording equipment!

Emulator being allowed is dependent on the game you’re trying to run, you need to check the rules for the game to see if it’s allowed or not. If you’re on Linux though, external capture products will be hard to find because you would need to find something with Linux drivers and I honestly don’t think that any of the good, cheap cap cards like gv-usb2 have Linux drivers. I don’t know of any cards that are both affordable and multi platform off the top of my head.

As for a timer, I would recommend LiveSplitOne which is a brower based version of LiveSplit or you could run LiveSplit itself through Wine. Or you could try to get Llanfaire to run.

A hint of caution when using Llanfaire: There seems to be incompatibility of split-files with the different versions of Llanfaire. I recently upgraded to a newer distro and installed a newer Llanfaire and now I cannot open 50% of my split-files. I still haven't solved this issue of finding the old version I used before NotLikeThis

@xFadedxShadow seconding LiveSplit One. I run a local instance with a bit of added CSS for custom font.

@Timmiluvs the Dazzle DVC100 is plug and play in Linux (I've tried with Debian-based distributions and Manjaro, which is Arch-based).
