All Collectibles vs. 100%

Would it make sense to have these be two separate categories, since 100% involves all the missions, and each of those takes a lot of time? Also, since All Collectibles involves a few missions, for items like the Lock Pick in order to collect some relics, which would require at least one to be done.

Probs not worth it, you'd get like one person who ran it and that'd be it. Not much point making even more categories.

So then which category would prevail? All Collectibles or 100%, or even an All Missions?

I assume it'd be All Collectibles, since it'd be less tedious.

right now I'd say 100%, but I'm open to other options and arguments for other categories.

California, USA

For other arguments, All Collectibles would cut out some of the missions, so it'd be less time-consuming and only involve a select few missions, if any at all, since I'm not 100% sure if the lock pick is needed to get some relics. I need to double check that. All Missions would cut out all collectibles, but since there is the mission that requires beating all the challenge tombs, it'd be a little time consuming, and still require some extra items, such as the Re-breather. There could also be an All Challenges category, since that wouldn't involve (I think) any missions or collectibles. And 100% is just a combination of everything. As of this moment, those are the only category options I can think of besides specific individual things like Relics and Documents, which would be annoying. Or even a Cache category could be interesting, but I digress. Either All Collectibles, All Missions, All Challenges, or 100%.

we need to look into the differences. you have a lot of "i thinks" in there, and honestly, i'm right there with you as I've only done any% and havent done any of the other stuff since the game launched. take a look at all collectibles and see what more is left to get 100%.

California, USA

So after running through the beginning part again, the Lock Pick only provides access to more resources and crafting items, so all the collectibles can be obtained without the need for any missions. But I believe you have to, at the minimum, do the Baba Yaga mission in order to get All Collectibles. As far as I can tell, there is only one mission that you need to complete in order to get all of the collectibles.

Baba Yaga is DLC though... it is, however, included in new purchases on steam and PS4. I'd vote for skipping anything included with it. If that nets you a 99% completion, then that is something we'll need to workout and verify.

California, USA

Does that mean include the entire Wicked Vale is out? Cause you can't freely roam the Vale and get the collectibles without doing the mission.

Edit: I'm not completely aware if you can enter the Wicked Vale without finding Nadia first. So I don't have any input, and I can't put time into finding it out until mid-June, since finals for me are coming up.

Yeah, the area added with Baga Yaga would be out. no worries on testing it. get to it when you can

California, USA

So with that question out of the way, do you have any final verdict on what the category would be then? Main Game All Collectibles or "100%," as in non-DLC 100%.

I'm still leaning towards 100%

Germany

I don't really know what 100% would entail, so I can't really give an educated answer. Do any of you know exactly what is required for 100%?

California, USA

100% would be all missions, all collectibles, all challenges, and all challenge tombs completed. I do not believe we will involve achievements, since that would mean that you would have to make a different profile each time if you want to realistically gain all the achievements every run. I'm also not sure if having all the ability and weapon upgrades, so otherwise those are off the table.

100% would be the in-game 100%. achievements wouldn't be included

California, USA

Any other information anyone needs before making a final decision?

England

I'd agree that we don't want to include DLC that people might not have (though with the 25th aniversary version more people will). I'd be inclined to let people run either and then see which we actually get runs for, I'd be up for including both if people actually want to run both.

California, USA

I feel like both are valid categories, since doing the Baba Yaga mission adds a lot of time, and requires more optimatization for the challenge and all the collectibles.

Either way, I guess the final verdict is 100%? And we'll decide later on if we want a 100% DLC and 100% Base category. I'll start mapping a route over summer.

United States

I'm fine with adding both, but I dont want a lot of empty categories or 1 runner only as well (Cold Darkness guys, it's 10 minutes!). Let's start with 100%

New Patch Problem with Load Remover

PC runners, at the time being, the best idea would be to downpatch the game to b1026, as load remover and autosplitter don't work on the newest patch. Runs that don't use load remover will not be manually re-timed. You can easily do that in Steam Options by right clicking on the game in the Steam L
