Having a discussion after setting rules about the rules isn't really a discussion.

If you don't run RE5, please don't post your 2 cents here. I don't go into other games and do that so you shouldn't either.

If someone doesn't run the game, why should their opinion matter? If I went to RE3 right now and started saying stuff, I'd get told to piss off, plain and simple.

Kentucky, USA

Lol.. If you say so. The rules are set now. Nothing to say about them anymore.

Thought everyone could say what they wanted?

I'll get the taser.

I like to talk about and understand all games in the RE series. This honestly bled out enough for me to want to talk in here and honestly and fairly challenge something I felt well.. should have been.

I'd heard about these rule changes going on and annoying everyone so I looked around and it did seem a bit odd that despite you having a small section of runners (yes I know you've been pissing in each others cereal recently) there was no proper discussion about when or what rule changes there was going to be as I feel ANY community should do.

To Hoobie: Thank you for not wanting to kick me out like a degenerate and shut the door behind you.

To RE Snow: Do you want me to go buy RE5 and post a speedrun so you think I'm a human being or do you act like that in real life too? I mean I will if you really want to act like a petulant child so you will listen to me telling you that you are acting like a child.

As for your question about grandfathering things in Auddy; Welcome to having a discussion with the community or lack thereof. That is a topic you could post and sure as a mod you have the power of authority but you could have nice long conversation about it.

That's probably a bit more than 2 cents but you can keep the change I'm good for it.

This conversation is a perfect illustration of why this incredibly immature and toxic community is a total mess and the laughing stock of the RE speedrunning scene.

I don't run up in your game and say the rules are dumb or how things are handled aren't right, ect. So why do it to mine? It's been proven many times we can't vote on anything due to people (everyone, even mods) not being able to agree on anything. And I honestly couldn't care less what people think or say. Let them, no skin off my nose. Don't like it, don't run it. Don't like how things are handled, don't read the RE5 forums. Much easier than doing something like this daily.

If the rule isn't major it shouldn't matter too much if the runs stay on the board, you could just add a section to the rules stating "as of this date (insert date here) all runs must follow these new rules. Any Previous submitted runs are immune to this change" as long as the run is beatable with the rule change, i don't see an issue with the runs staying.

If the rules are finalized i may considering running this game outside of Desperate Escape finally

Don't wanna be a dick or rude to anyone and sorry if I was, but come on, guys.

Kentucky, USA

@Steve We said all new runs have to follow the new things, but have went through older/rejected runs and said they did something that wasn't okay back then but is okay now. 4-5 new runs will be added to the boards after Auddy or I get their IGT out.

Why is it when I come on here to try and find a serious discussion, I come in and see nothing but childish banter and the complete lack of maturity on the forum? This is a thread about rules and you guys joke about committing suicide and say "allahu akbar." Its things like this that people see and say to themselves, "Maybe, I should try to say something so they can move forward." Instead they just get met with hostility because they don't run the game despite the fact their point may be entirely valid.
