PAL versions are generally slower than their NTSC counterparts so this is nothing new. Usually, nobody will run using PAL due to the obvious disadvantages. Most games won’t create a separate category for PAL and will encourage runners to use a faster version, but that doesn’t have to be the case. I would contact the moderator for the game and discuss it with them to see what should be done about it. You can ask for a separate category and see what they say.

As a side note, I see you’re using emulator, so I wouldn’t even worry about the PAL version, I would just run on NTSC-U or NTSC-J, whichever is faster.

Casssss and 6oliath like this

Speak to the moderator who is directly responsible for the game, @artucino. You may want to make a forum post on the game's own forums.

A decision will have to be made regarding whether the regions should be separated. But there is no cause to ban a region.

most games just combine them so I don't see them separating them so that will probably happen but yeah ask game mods :)

The PAL version of the game is running at 5/6ths the speed of the NTSC, so yeah, it's earlier to control because the windows of time of possible inputs is longer. In some games with IGT, it can be advantageous, assuming the IGT is frame dependent, because the clock runs 5/6ths the speed of the NTSC clock. In real time though, it's always a disadvantage.
