Could we be more explicit as to what is allowed/not allowed in the game rules? I just tried to submit a run but it was rejected because I was playing a patched game that was modified to show the RNG seed used to generate each bottle. I'm fine with it not being allowed, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.
To be fair, modifying a ROM is never accepted in official runs on most boards except for a few fringe boards.
Sure, I'm not saying it's unreasonable, it just wasn't stated in the rules explicitly. I didn't realize I was even running that ROM until I went to submit it but I checked the rules and it didn't seem to break any of them.
Not everyone may realize this, but there are general site rules:

Not every rule is going to be explicitly defined as indicated in the general rules above. So you're OK in asking but your game was modified, and therefore even the general rule stated in the site rules was broken.
@sYn and if I may highlight a specific part of the link you posted:
"Just because something isn't in writing doesn't mean it is allowed."
Always something to keep in mind. Even when it involves something that would be newly discovered and technically legit, such as a 0-day major skip, or a game-changing strat. C.Y.A.: that's what it's all about.
