Hey everyone, new to the community so please excuse my ignorance.
My friend and I just picked up speedrunning and we took up our first game Mario 64, after being inspired by an SGDQ run we saw on youtube.
We looked around and noticed that there is no doubles format for this run the way we do it. What we do is switch the controller after every star and see how fast we can beat the game. It is a lot of fun and this adds a new layer of strategy to the run.
Has anyone heard of anyone attempting this before?

One-handed/blindfolded runs aren't shown on leaderboards for example.
Thanks for the replies. I'm his partner. Well probably have to submit individual runs to at least make it on the leader boards and then maybe well look into submitting our initial idea as a challenge mode or something
We would like to announce that VC and EMU subcategories are now active on the Stage RTA leaderboards (under "Levels"). Stage RTA involves collecting all the stars in a given stage including the 100 coin star. Timing starts on star select and ends upon collecting the final star. You are allowed to us
