Hi everybody! I made this account a couple days ago but I’m only posting now. I’m hoping to get started with speedrunninng and I think it will be a lot of fun! I am going to try speedrunning the game Ever Oasis (even though it’s not on this site) to show my love for that game. In the meantime I think it would be cool to at least try speedrunning some other games. I’m wondering what some good games would be to get my feet wet. I’m hoping for something that could probably be completed under and hour, and I own a 3DS, a wii, and a switch. I am SO SORRY if this was not a good place to ask about this. I just want a bit of help starting off.
Also, again on the topic of Ever Oasis, if there is a game that I can’t find any speedruns for but I want to speedrun it when is the best time to start and stop the timer?
Hey welcome :D for ever oasis start the timer when you click new game maybe? Love that games super fun although I suck at it haha :D hmm other games under an hour thats a lot of ds games like I run my sims although I just sent my run for re varication because wrong time :3 1 star on ds takes 6mins and on wii takes 13 mins :D a game I ran and never uploaded is kira kira pop princess takes around 1hr30ish so a little longer than an hour. What kind of games are you in to? Maybe I could help a little better that way? :3
Welcome! If you're the first person to run a game, you can decide whatever you want for the timer start :) Just make sure it's at a convenient place to start the timer, ideally the last option you have to select to start a new game [/imo]
short games I run for the wii:
Excitebike world rally (each cup takes about 6 minutes, the whole game takes 25 or less) Tenchu Shadow Assassins takes 1.5 hours aprox to beat the whole game Wii Sports (many different categories depending on the sport, going from 1.5 minutes up to 3 hours)
