Hello all!

I'm interested in learning how to speed run Mario 64. I have the option to play n64 or wiiuvc I was wondering what controller was best to learn on wiiu. I want to explore my options.

well if you have console, just go with that, i mean there is even a forum about banning VC and Emu lator from the leaderboards because the diffrences are huge due the lag reduction VC and emu have :)

Picking Wii U VC over N64 is probably the greatest meme ive ever heard by far. First of all, Wii U VC is the worst simply because of the input delay. No matter what controller you use for Wii U VC, you will always suffer with input delay. Also, they're not Banning VC or Emu because so many people were against it. Go with N64 :D

if you can get a GCN adapter that's what i'd recommend, a lot of people shit on the c-stick or whatever but i've found a lot of success with it.

get a gc controller, a gc to wiiu adapter and get the hid to gamepad app for the homebrew launcher. BOOM thats it :) but pls play on n64.

99% of runners, including myself, recommend running on an N64 console with an N64 controller.
