For number 1, is your autoexec.cfg in joequake folder? Even if you launch the game as qdqstats I think it uses joequake folder to exec the autoexec.

For 2, did you try just using the binds "save quick" and "load quick"? I remember someone having this problem and I think it was because the default QS/QL binds are dumb.

1. Both paths for the autoexec seem to work since I get the "echo test" feedback in my console
2. I tried. Did'nt work - even just typing "save quick" into the console same result.

I think both problems have to do with windows shitty file permissions :C

Update: I can qs/ql now if I play without start parameters. I used -window -bpp 16 -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -game qdqstats18 -width 1280 as startparameter just like in your guide. Problem is I dont want to play in Fullscreen obviously :D

I also took the ownership of the quake folder. not sure if that helped because I tried to start without parameters after I had the ownership.

found the issue.

didnt download qdqstats18 and put it in to my games directory:D ¤shame¤ everything works now.
