Rejected game.

Recently canceled a new game Battlefield 1942 with wording: "we are not accepted PvP based games". I understand that this is not in accordance with game request rules. But there are many examples of pvp games on speedrun.com dota2, dead by daylight, smite, etc. This game is somewhat reminiscent of Star Wars Battlefront I/II. Here and there is a company for one player vs bots. I don't quite understand why my request was rejected.

There was once a time where these rules were not enforced as much, during that time is when those games got added, or series moderators added them.

also site staff dont take down leaderboards due to either one of these

"They were all added before rules got stricter. We don't remove games retroactively. By the standards now, almost none of them would be accepted."

Hello, all my life I've played Bf 1942 only against bots, going through the campaign. Before this situation, I would never have thought that this game is pvp based. I really love this game and would like its speedruns to develop, but unfortunately this will not be possible if the game is not accepted on speedrun com. I would like to argue my words with the first speedrun for this game, with a timer and splits, which shows its usefulness in terms of pve gaming and speedrun. . We already have a community and it would be very nice if we could have a leaderboard. I emphasize once again that the game has a full-fledged single-player mode, which is the object of a speedrun. Thank you! #bf1942

If the game has a full single-player campaign, probably it wasn't emphasized in the original game request, and the video for the request probably didn't show it. When you request a game, you should fill up as many relevant information as you can about the game (in the "Additional notes" field), and the game will be more likely to be accepted. You can also request the game, you already have that speedrun and everything. A rejection in most cases doesn't have to be final.

Yes it is, I didn't use additional notes field. I added more details about game. Thank you for your answer.🙂

Please remove all games from Croteam, and return when they learn how to make games

Argentina

@Kaelthas I don't understand what that has to do with the topic at hand, given that Battlefield 1942 was not made by Croteam.
