Just to reinforce what's being asked here, I have Mupen64 Plus AE (Android Edition) and it runs the game very well, like PC Emulators do. I'd be supportive of this idea.

I would think If an Android CE were to be established, it would be something like using touch screen controls.

How about IOS users kappa

It is possible to control the game with a Dual Shock 4 on Android, you just need to pair up the controller with it.

@WanderAgro but doing it with a controller is kinda cheaty don't you think? There are these Controller grip things but it still needs touchscreen controls. My friend nisi uses them because his hands hurt

It's not cheating. It's one of the possibilities of control you have. You either choose to use touch controls or a proper joystick.

you can play mario 64 on android with the buttons on the screen or with a bluetooth controller or a wired controller with a c cable and you can also do speedruns on android

Would this not just be considered EMU? Why do we need an extra category for this?

it's just another platform to play the game on. using a controller on mobile emu would not be cheating, everyone using touchscreen controls would just be at a disadvantage. just submit runs to emu.

Well it's more of a "Who cares about android EMU?" kind of situation tbh.

I have seen some android runs, particularly from facebook streamers that are new to the game. They, however, switch to pc EMU once they are around the sub 25 minutes times. And yes, most of them were using bluetooth controllers. Damn high latency gamers right there.

Have you guys ever seen the bottom of EMU 16 stars runs? Consistent lag, false starts on timers, incorrect emulators, incorrect plugins (Particularly the lack of shadows cause by using some of the default plugins), weird controllers, vods deleted, Bubzia's old 16 stars blindfolded PB, etc, etc, etc....

If one of you actually submit an android run, I can almost assure you that it will be accepted, as long as the run is legal, vod is clear with audio, and the submission instructions are correctly followed. And if you have a really good time, you probably are already on anything else other than android EMU.
