This is probably mostly for airkix, but I have had now about 4 attempts in a row that my numbness has worn off even when I follow Vaxherd's notes to get my ghost party.

Is there always a possibility that numbness can be cured even if you do things correctly?

I think I need to understand better the intricacies of how numbness can wear off and why Vaxherd's route/notes say the things they say. Can someone enlighten me a bit?
