Hello all. I am an amateur Portal inbounds speedrunner. My PB is 22:10.12 (with loading times).

I am struggling with the timer software and how to use it, and I am also confused as to how to submit speedruns. I also see "demos" in each run, linking to Dropbox. I have no idea why those are being linked with each run.

Much help is appreciated, thank you!

1. This is probably more adapted in Portal 1 forums.
2. Demos are a "replay". It's kind of a proof, except not really. You can just view the input in detail, go in third person, to check if noone is cheating. (Example if you go accidentaly OoB in Angle Glitches in Inbounds).

How to setup LiveSplit (basics):

1. Set Portal as the game on Splits Editor
2. Click Activate
3. Click Setting
4. Select "Engine Ticks with pause" in the bottom of the settings.
5. Save your splits
6. Right click on LiveSplit and switch the "Compare" to Game Time
7. Congratulations, your LiveSplit is setup to time the in-game time.
