Any% w/o loads category?

Wouldn't this category allow for emulators to be ran, since the hardware would have no effect on the final time? Runs from Any% can easily be converted over to this category.

I don't really see point to adding a category that is essentially the same thing as an any% run. SMG isn't a hard game to get started with either, it's just a wii and one game disc, no region ports or anything are required whatsoever.

I feel like it would be a huge pain in the ass to convert loadtimes from all of the top times in the leaderboards, there's just so many different loads that it would result in lots of unnecessary amounts of time from the runners, or the people converting the runs into "loadless"

I understand the appeal to wanting to run on emulator, for it doesn't cost anything, and is easier to record, but I think in order to be competitive at a game, you need to be able to find the hardware to be able to run said game.

Fair point, although wii loading times are pretty much the same across the board, right? I mean, otherwise it would create variations in times based on whether your wii is loading faster for whatever reason. That would mean load times are calculated once then subtracted from all of the runs.

The other solution would be to get an emulator which emulates the actual wii loading times, but then again, one doesn't exist (yet), afaik.
