Hi there guys! I am new to the speed running community however I have been playing Brutal Doom for quite awhile now. I personally play on the newest version (which at the time of writing is the Public Beta v21 released on April 25) and I feel as though that the runs completed for this game should reflect the newest advancements/updates for Brutal Doom.
If it is cool with the mods, can we please update the rule stating that runners have to play the game on Brutal Doom v19 to that of "runners have to play the game on the newest version of Brutal Doom"?

I'm not a mod (newb, actually) but I feel as if it doesn't really matter sometimes, as, tbh (and this is my opinion), the Brutal Doom games run the same way, as far as I know. So changing versions won't really be a huge deal for some, but I prefer v19 Beta, as that's the one I use. And because they (maybe) run the same, someone playing on v21 shouldn't have a different game or run to a v19 player.
(Remember, it's just my opinion and thoughts, not anyone else's. If I make no sense or seem stupid, either ignore me or tell me and ask me to clarify, please.)

As far as my knowledge goes, v21 isn't very different from v19/v20 when it comes to speedrunning. The only different thing would be the fact you are able to carry barrel around in the v21 which could possibly save a few seconds on D1/E1M6. Otherwise a few really minor gameplay changes iirc but no big deal.
Also, mods have been inactive for a while now so don't expect much sadly. But you can still speedrun the game on your own and fun with it. I have been messing around for a few months now and it is cool going through some WADs really quickly.
Anyway, hope to you see around in the future with (hopefully) some runs! ;)
