looks to me like lame old placeholder runs. please don't go about accusing people of stuff you have no clue about, kthx. nowhere does the mod claim that the runs were done by him, nor even by a person in general.

it's bad habit to add placeholder runs for longer periods of time - but for short periods they can be useful to test out how the category-bar behaves when all categories are filled. or maybe he wanted to mark that those categories are redundant for those ILs.

Fair enough it just looked dodgy when I seen it on the front page. I did not know people made placeholder runs for things.

Can I ask what's the real point of adding placeholder runs? Rather sure nothing about the categories behave any differently having a run submitted in it or not and all it does is just make the View All Levels Leaderboard page look a bit unsightly, filling about a quarter of it up with no name 001 ms times. Marking the category as redundant doesn't make sense either, most of the obtain diamonds runs don't even include glitches but none are allowed into the set seed glitchless category? Just having a hard time understanding the practicality of this.

People really need to lose the witch-hunt mentality that's developed around cheating in the last couple of months.

I've used them before to experiment with what different inputs mean on the edit game screen. If you use normal runs for those, it adds an unnecessary layer of complication and you might end up accidentally rejecting or deleting a perfectly good run. Using a temp run allows you to mess with the layout without risking someone's actual submission.
