That did really well, and I just got approved to go bigger with it. Each month we're going to be hosting a $500 prize pool bounty for a new speedrun.
I need help though. I can't ask people to make WR attempts over a 3 week span if the game is already hugely competitive. On the other hand, I can't pick a dead game without any existing resources to make picking up the game quick/easy.
That Shrek game was perfect: A meme-ish run about 1 hour long that's free to download with not a lot of competition.
I would love to hear y'alls suggestions for games with similar characteristics to post a bounty for. Feel free to suggest something that kind of fits the characteristics. Run is 45min? Game costs less than $5? I'll hear you out.
Lol it looks funny but the run is 21 seconds. Can't do that one.

(I assume you'd want games where the moderators, at least, are still actively around...)
If you're looking for meme games, Karoshi Suicide Salaryman and Super Karoshi are two old flash game treasures that have some potential and aren't too competitive yet, but they're rather short when compared to shrek (5-10 minutes at most).

The Lost Vikings: A puzzle-platformer with 3 lovely vikings travelling through time. The vikings love to throw quips at each other. There are multiple consoles with records from 50min to ~1:20. Grimm's Hollow is a free RPG game that's pretty short to beat casually (Unless you're going for all the endings). It's definitely a really good game even if you're not interested in speedrunning it.
The community isn't that big but they are pretty active and there are a couple of guides that are well made on some tricks/glitches this game has to offer. The WR currently sits at 57:09 with only 3 runners that have a time on the leaderboards.
Idea: Roblox: Adventure forward 2. free to play because it's a roblox game, somewhat small community, bunch of resources and the community is tightly-knit so they could answer any questions. 33 star world record is 40 minutes

I keep trying to find a non-popular 3D platformer that has runs > 1 hour, but I just can't. They're all popular lol
If I remember correctly, you'll need three Skylanders to run Swap Force 3DS: Stealth Elf, Drobot, and and character that can hover (eg. Gill Grunt). The Swap Force 3DS portal is also the only portal that works for this game, and it's unfortunately not easy to find cheap nowadays.
