Question about IL runs:

For IL runs are we allowed to use the password that pistol starts on the level of choice on the category difficulty or do we have to use the level select that you get from the extra features menu? I had the menu unlocked but for some reason I do not have it anymore.

For the features menu, you have to currently be in a level to access it as it is not visible at the main menu. It is preferable to use this over passwords, as those can be manipulated (online password generators that could potentially allow cheating). Not only that, but I don't think anyone would want to go through the trouble of memorizing or writing down all those passwords. So for verification purposes, the features menu will be the standard for doing IL runs.

Alright, thank you very much!

Runs are judged by IGT in a single-segment run. No loads are permitted.

That's a good question.

I'd say since the demon keys only serve the purpose of upgrading the Unmaker and closing the portals at the end, it shouldn't matter for ILs. I'm only looking for 100% kills and secrets to verify them, and demon keys are not tracked as either. In the IL for Hectic, we require you to take the intended route to the exit (behind the 3 key gate), but in full-game runs you only need to hit 100%, since Features is unlocked through different means. This avoids the trouble of having people upload 1 sec Hectic ILs, which no one would want to watch.

As for using "Restart Level", I see no reason not to allow this. The in-game timer resets itself and makes you pistol start by either using the menu or after dying. Just as long as you're not loading a save into the level, which messes with the IGT, then it's perfectly fine.

Hi, i would like to know if other categories, like the other difficulty levels, but most precisely, Pacifist%, could be considered for ILs?

Adding the other difficulties would not see much action if you ask me. You can break it down like this: Be Gentle offers the FASTEST possible times as it is the easiest difficulty. There's fewer enemies, you receive more supplies and take less damage to help you finish the game quickly. Watch Me Die offers the greatest CHALLENGE, as it is on the opposite end of the spectrum of the things I mentioned previously.

As for Pacifist, this is a very different kind of Doom game. There are many triggers that depend on killing enemies to progress and really wouldn't leave much left for ILs. You only have a handful of levels that can be done pacifist, which I can't imagine would garner much interest.

As you are the first to ask about these, I can't really justify adding them to the leaderboard. If there is more interest in the future I will, but currently there is almost none.
