So I have this xbox 360 rockcandy controller, it blue and it's off brand.
When ever I play a PC game with it, it thinks the neutral analog position = down, and I have no idea why. I don't feel like it's a controller problem because I can play ANY game on Dolphin emulator without any problem at all. But the moment I switch to a PC game, even pj64, it acts up.
If anyone has any tips or guess as to what could be going on that would be awesome. If not, I'll probably be smashing this controller with a sledgehammer soon.
Have you tried unplugging the controller and putting it back in? My Cube and controller have been around for about 14 years now and it sometimes decides that the neutral analog position = right, until I unplug it then put it back in. Also from what I understand caution is recommended around off brands.
Calibrate it via the Windows tools. On Win 10 it's something like Control Panel > Devices and Printers > <Whatever your controller is listed as> > Right click, Properties > Should be self-explanatory from there.
Dolphin has its own controller calibration when you set a controller up on it, which may be why your controller is working on that and nothing else. Clearly the fact that it works in Dolphin indicates that it's a configuration issue and not a hardware issue, so the controller itself is fine.
