Let's set up a category for the full version!

Hi! Finally, the full version of "Fight Crab" has been released. It's a great game!

So we need to reorganize the leaderboard categories as well. I think NG and NG+, Single and Mulch Crab should stay the same, but we would like to come up with rules for difficulty and platform selection.

The Early Access version of the leaderboard could be moved elsewhere as an older version. The only runners were myself and teddyras.

Do you have a video of a run of the current patches? I've been busy with other games and haven't been able to speedrun the new patch yet.

I'll move the old categories misc and rename to early access since the new game has more levels and the mechanics are a little different. I can add new categories as soon as there's a video of a run. I'm still uncertain what condition one of the new levels shows up at because I saw it show up differently for my game and a different streamer's. Unsure which categories it affects.

Thanks for the reply. Changing the leaderboard is not a problem when you have time.

I don't have run videos on the new version yet, but I can provide them if needed. No rules have been set yet regarding difficulty and stages, but I will try to do a breakthrough run from 1-1 to 6-4 on one difficulty level.

I don't know the difference between the PC and Switch versions, as I only have the PC. I'd like to seek other people's opinions.

I dont think there's a difference aside from maybe load times, but I dont have a switch, so I dont know. Oh god, I forgot they added difficulty, uh, I guess I can just make single and multi main categories and have difficulty be sub categories, but nobody will run every difficulty.

I'm thinking just have easy and then add more difficulties if someone has a video for others. I'm assuming easy is the fastest. and the highest difficulty had 3 levels to it -_- I couldn't beat a few of those on max level 3 difficulty, most notably spider crab, with my lvl 100 crab.

So like 4 main categories 1) Any% NG+ Multi Crab 2) Any% Multi Crab 3) Any% NG+ Single Crab 4) Any% Single Crab. Then sub categories for difficulty, start with 1, add more if there's video for it, and PC and Switch same board because it's probably close enough. Sound good?

Japan

I think that's fine for the idea of categories. I think Normal is the quickest, but I'd like to try the upper difficulty levels sooner or later as they sound interesting. It's hard though.

I made a video of the Single Crab and Multi Crab runs in NG+ to try out. I can submit them anytime once the leaderboards are made.

I can't decide where to start in the NG category since they've added tutorials and prologues. I've come up with a few plans and I hope you'll consider them.

Plan 1 Enter Tutorial 1 and do all the tutorials.

Plan 2 Enter Tutorial 1 and then select "Pause" > "Skip Tutorial" to do only the mock battle.

Plan 3 Enter Tutorial 1 and select "Quit" to go to the stage selection screen. After that, start from the "Prologue". In this case, however, "Tutorial 1" does not have a clear mark on it.

In both cases, if you complete the "Prologue", you will not need to select 6-1.

The timing of the start could be when you choose "Campaign" -> "New Game" on the title screen, or if you're on Plan 3, when you choose "Prologue" -> "Difficulty".

The full version has weaker enemies and more money to earn, so it's easier to run the NG category. I'm seeing people in Japan wanting to take on speedrun, and I think it's going to increase the number of runners.

One more thing. After quitting tutorial 1, you can also start with 1-1 without even choosing a prologue.

In this case, if you also go through 6-1 and complete 6-4, it might be similar to the Early Access version of the NG category.

ok, it's up, did normal mode for now, can add more difficulties if people have them

Japan

Awesome! I have submitted my runs. Also, the number of players in "Any% Multi Crab" is now 1.

If you choose "quit" in the tutorial that will take you to a new game file, you can skip the tutorial and go to the stage selection screen. Also, you are now allowed to spend 1000G at your disposal before the timer starts. These can be added to the rules. I'll leave it up to you.

Hi! I heard from someone who plays speedrun that the full release version doesn't require you to complete all the stages to see the ending.

If you complete 1-6, stage 3 is released, if you 3-5, stage 5 is released, and if you 5-5, stage 6 is released. Stages 2 and 4 do not need to be completed.

Any% of the game is intended to be completed in the shortest amount of time, so it may not be necessary to require you to complete all stages. The current Any% could be renamed something like All Stages.

There's also a video of a test run with those rules. Stages 5 and 6 without enchant were very difficult.

Japan

Thanks for the response! And if there's no particular problem, I'd like to see the Any% board added when you have time. Then I'll submit my run above. I think it would make it easier for others to submit as well. This will cover most of the rules.

Ok, I added Any%. I figure there's no point in single or multi since it's all new game, but I could add that if someone wants a split or does a co-op run.

NG+ would be a 1 stage speedrun so... no :P I could add IL's for this game, but I don't think anyone is going to do IL's for this game.

Thanks!I submitted the run as soon as possible. It would be great if more people would play this game.

I also think it would be nice if the timing of the timer was written into the rules.

I don't think Any% needs to be sensible, since the only time you can use your partner is in stage 5. If someone says they want it, you can think about it then. Any%NG+ is only 6-4, so...I don't think anyone would do it for sure.
