Can the mobile game type be added to Bullet Hell 100? https://www.speedrun.com/Bullet_Hell_100/forum Thanks

@Portal that thing you can ask the moderator of the board :p

@Trollbear666 I am the moderator of the leaderboard, won't let me add game types

I think I addressed all of the above. Game types are only selectable by full mod and up to prevent people from doing stupid things with them.

Would it be possible for Etrian Mystery Dungeon http://www.speedrun.com/emd to be a part of both Mystery Dungeon and the Etrian Odyssey Series http://www.speedrun.com/etrian_odyssey_series since its a crossover between the two. Thanks in advance~

The following game was put in the wrong Series and I can't change it:

http://www.speedrun.com/Marvel_Super_Heroes_War_of_the_Gems

It was put in Marvel Versus series. And it is NOT a Marvel Versus Game.

Please change it to "X-Men Series"

The same of this game

http://www.speedrun.com/X-Men_Mutant_Apocalypse

Both are capcom platformer beat'm ups, and have the same Engine. They're very identical games, so they belong in the same series (X-Men Series)

Thank you!

Just because the gameplay is similar they don't necessarily belong in the same series. It's a bit of an ambiguous case, but in my opinion it makes sense for it to be in the same series as Marvel Super Heroes, which definitely fits in the Versus series.

On a side note, I've deleted the logos for MSH: WotG and most other games you moderate because of the 'Must say "speedrun.com"' requirement they all failed to meet.

@ Lighnat0r I'm pretty aware that because the gameplay is similar it doesn't mean the same series. You are right that is kind of an ambiguous case. What I am saying is that since both available options are not perfect to fit, putting a Platforming beat'em up game in the same series as "versus fighting games only" is way more inaccurate. There are only Versus fighting games in that category. (Some of them are not Marvel, like Tatsumoto vs Capcom but again just VERSUS)

But putting two games same engine, same developer same style, same GENRES both marvel and both capcom

in the same series make much more sense. and have a lot more in common.

The main reason I ask that is because it will make much easier for players to find the game. X-Men Mutant apocalypse players can easilly feel tempted to play MSH: WotG and vice versa. Which will not happen for Fighting Versus players that are not interested in platforming beat'em ups. The game is totally lost on that series. That's why I ask one more time for you to change.

I guess that since it doesn't really fit in either, maybe the best option is to put it in both.

'-' How about changing the name X-men Series to X-men/Marvel Series? ;)

So it can embrace other similar games like Captain America and the avengers (Arcade, SNES, Genesis and NES)

Hello! I'd like to request to Make "Super Monkey Ball 2 Custom Levels" a ROM Hack of "Super Monkey Ball 2". Thanks!

@ Lighnat0r

Thank you very much!!

"How about changing the name X-men Series to X-men/Marvel Series"

  • Since one is a subset of the other, it probably makes more sense to have just a Marvel series. A list of games that qualify would be helpful. Example: Everything in series A, series B, and games X,Y,Z.

alexdsw3: I marked it is a rom hack. Marking parent games is still broken. :(

I would like to request that Perplexus Giant ( http://www.speedrun.com/ppg ) in the Perplexus series be set to a ROM hack.

United States

cooopercrisp: I'll do what you asked, but please read my post here: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/9kj6k/1#wjfat If everyone starts doing this for every game, it's going to get out of hand. (Also attaching parent games is still broken.)

Frikkinfriks14: It has been my opinion since site inception that we shouldn't track non-video game type stuff. This was allowed to be added by another site staff member who either was doing it in haste or not realizing the extent of precedent here. I would really rather the site not track stuff like this unless it becomes concisely defined in scope and implementation such that it doesn't impact the rest of the site with clutter. I'm discussing this with site staff. It's not your fault or anything, just a fault of the site process.

If non-video game type stuff isn't allowed, why is Tabletop an available platform? Either way, please don't remove the series because it needs a leaderboard and this site is the only place that can be used besides maybe Cyberscore.
