Leaderboards moderation requests thread

Hey, I was wondering if I could be the moderator for DmC: Devil may Cry and DmC Definitive Edition? For DmC Definitive Edition there are no active moderators in that game. I have to remind the moderator to verify my run after I summit a run 1 month ago. For DmC: Devil may Cry there are only one active moderator for that game. And he is struggling to organize the sub-categories. And I would like to help him fix up some things. Can you please? NES Ice Hockey. Submitted a run which has not been verified in almost two weeks. Mod hasn't been online in 17 days. Would be happy to help moderate.
Please keep in mind that using this thread is somewhat a last resort, in case the current moderators are not responding or refusing your help without justification. You should always start by asking the Super mods of a game/series as they are also able to add mods. Twitch messages to mods are probably best for now.
Again, please don't suggest for people to use twitch messaging. This isn't directed towards you but to anyone that recommends it in general. A couple years back twitch messaging was a good way to reach people but nowadays most messages are never read by anyone because default settings for inbox are not the same as they were in the past.

For anyone else using this thread, do twitch as a last resort. I'd say to aim for twitter as first priority. If twitch messaging wasn't so broken, I'd support that as it is far more discreet but as of now it really is far from practical and leads to assuming whoever was messaged through twitch is purposefully ignoring the concerned parties.

So yeah, use twitch if you want the person to most likely not ever receive your message unless they ended up tweaking their inbox settings to something different than the default. Sorry to be blunt but it is what it is. Again, this is mainly a heads up for anyone truly concerned about fixing the state of the moderation on whatever game they run or are interested in moderating.

I'm sure most people are willing to step down or make adjustments to moderation on a game if they are actually able to be contacted reliably. If not, you'll have screen shot evidence at least of them actually having proper notification of their obvious neglect in the situation and refusing to make any changes about it.

Again, I want to clarify that this is meant in no offense to you, TrollBear666. This is really just a public service announcement for everyone (whoever needs it).

Hi. Please can be added as a mod for Swordigo (http://www.speedrun.com/Swordigo)?

My any% run has been awaiting verification for 27 days and an earlier slower run from over a month ago was not verified. I Twitch PM'd both mods on 18 December and posted on the forum 2 days ago but have received no reply. I have no other way of contacting them.

MarcoDTL has not been on the site for a month and alfredodevars has not been on the site for 8 months.

The previous mod of all the Atelier series had his account deleted, and I've become the super mod of the series. However there are many games in this series that now has no mod and I don't know how to give myself mod in each of these games. If I can't give myself mod for each of the games then I'd like to request moderation to all of the games.

@PinkPajamas you should contact Hunteriwi for Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana since he's pretty active.

Hunteriwi made me mod for AI1. Vanilla Rorona, Totori, Ayesha and Shallie are all currently modless.

RastaBobby: I bumped the other mods up to super mods, which means they can add others now. I think this will help the concerns. I can't read French.

Racingmonster: Removed.

Cyberdemon531: I added TheMaster, since he seems really active with Left 4 Dead 2.

NirvanaZero000: I sent a Twitter DM to the active moderator. We'll see where that goes.

RealBonner: It looks like it was added now. As additional information, the board is defaulted to console runs currently.

gallamaster: The guideline in this thread is 3 weeks, which we haven't quite reached yet.

srwatcher/FurryWulfz: I'm putting off making changes to this for now. I find arguing about modship on Twitter to get out of hand pretty quickly sometimes. It might be a "functional" solution, but it's a bad "pragmatic" solution, if that distinction makes sense. (I wish we had site PMs. The forums currently should be a pretty good solution if the user actually logs in.)

drgrumble: Added.

EGGyEntertainment: I'd recommend trying to discuss it with the series moderator. Stuff like this can be very ambiguous from the site's perspective, it's hard to get all the details. We can probably delete the banned users' runs if that's the primary source of the issue.

PinkPajamas: Added you on the rest of them.

GhostScit: ok

Okay thanks, I'll prove myself and future will decide what will happen to me :D

Here's a translation of the French screenshot:

Valux: I can do this in multiple times [validating many long speedruns (for the event)] but it will of curse take more time to validate. i'm active but I'm alone to validate runs so I'm having more and more late [kykinson, after a twitter message, validated my 3 pending runs]. I'll do a post [here] to support your mod request.

Me: So you're validating my mod request?(I'll send our discussion to the forums as a proof for the speedrun.com staff). Okay nice (Then I explain him how to find this forum thread).

Valux: I confirm I want you on my side as a Trackmania mod to validate all runs on the Trackmania games.

The first screenshot was in English so there is no need to translation :P

I would like to submit my application for Head/Main Moderator for Super Mario Run. I have contacted all of the current moderators for it in their different social media platforms but to no avail.

I think it's worth pointing out that none of the current moderators currently run the game. They keep changing the rules in some runs and are not correctly classifying runs, ie. putting All Coins runs in Miscellaneous when it's the harder run. I'm currently a record holder for a category in this game and is looking to do more in other runs. I want to be able to set a consistent rule set for all the runs and be a vocal and active member in the small community that runs this game.

Thanks for your response.

I would like to add that being a high-ranking runner, or even an active runner is not necessarily a prerequisite of being a moderator. It's certainly DESIRABLE, but saying, "X doesn't actively run the game" is not an argument to revoke someone's mod status, nor is "I have the WR" an argument for being a moderator. The current moderators may have been past runners who just don't have the time anymore, and even if they have never done RTA speedruns of the game they may still have a deep knowledge of the game from routing/glitch hunting/testing, or otherwise be highly-esteemed members of the community. Conversely, having WR in a game doesn't necessarily entail that you would be an effective moderator. You could be a really good speedrunner, but also terrible with people and communication, which are vital traits for a good moderator to have.

I would also add that being a site member for a few days and requesting 'Head/Main Moderator' (That isn't a thing, by the way. Closest is Super Mod, and 'Head Moderator' is only ever going to be an unofficial label given by a community, I debatably have this for SA2B) is not really a good impression to set to people.

No drama, just truth really. Actions and reputations stick. It's strange to see the people who come along and manage to make an awful first impression, too.
