In fact, someone else actually encountered this bug after I made this original post. If Elo patches the bug properly you won't have to worry about me breaking leaderboards. I'd rather not wait until someone stumbles upon a bug accidentally, if I discover a problem I will report the problem. It shouldn't be the user's responsibility to just not do the bug.

Anyways, I figured out a way to access the editgame settings when the game is "broken" so the URL can easily be changed back to what it was at any time.

Well...

There was a new speedrun.com update the other day, and I wanted to test to see if the new pages that were added would have the same glitch, and they did. I really wish speedrun.com would learn from their mistakes. Or maybe I'm the one who should learn from my mistakes. Either way, I need help from staff to set a game's URL back to normal. The way I was fixing it myself before doesn't work anymore.

@jackzfiml they do do that, but for some reason some URLs still work. @YUMmy_Bacon5 how did you get it back? I can't get my game back, even if I go to https://speedrun.com/auth/editgame @Bob-chicken I was just checking to see if the glitch was patched, I didn't actually expect it to work

I'm a bit late but this issue should of been fixed Actually, it has only been fixed for /auth and not other new pages that have been added such as /admin, /messagesbeta, /setstream and /_setstream

All pages prefixed with one of these URLs will return permission denied So game URLs can be changed to admin_something and then they become "deleted" Lmao https://www.speedrun.com/api/v1/games/admingame
