Is it important to have a proof?

Hello,

I'm newly passionnate in speedruns, and i did one myself (Monster Tale around 3:30) and saw it was a new WR, I was kinda proud, but I want more pride (joking)

So I just started a TAS (emulated RNG manipulation and "speedhack") on the same game, I tried to capture it, but my computer can't stand 2 programs at the same time... Will you trust me if I link a screenshot of the end screen and another screenshot of my in game time, or do I need to get a new computer?

thank you

Proof being required depends on the moderators of the leaderboard, but it's definitely preferred that you have something. Try asking the moderators about it.

What ROMaster said is pretty much spot on in regards to submitting an RTA run here.

But I noticed you said you're making a TAS for the game. This site currently doesn't support the submission of a TAS, the website you'll want for that is http://tasvideos.org

There you'll find tons of resources on TASing, but they do require you to provide a video of the TAS itself in order to submit it. I think they might also provide guidelines on the specs they want in regards to encoding and such. I'd recommend checking out all of the info there if you're interested in getting into TASing.

Ok thanks a lot ROMaster, I'll ask them.

Timmiluvs: oh? Why does this site not support TASs? Is it harder to trust a TASer than a normal speedrunner? (if that's the case I understand, because tools is like cheating) Also on some games have already a "TAS" tab (http://www.speedrun.com/twow#100_TAS) I a mod could add a tab for monster tale if I ask kindly Anyway, thanks for the link!

Racing monster TAS is kinda strange... But in my case it's not very hard, because I just manipulate the speed of the game and use some savestates, nothing more... It's just like cheating... Tbh I hate TASing but I'm pissed of reloading the game each time I fail, plus there is no TAS record on moster tale

Well this site is for single-segment speedruns whereas TASvideos is the place to go for tool-assisted speedruns. That's simply a difference of site purpose although you can surely share your TAS here in a game's forum or something if you feel like it.

Exactly what Tocaloni said.

Real talk about your question though. Does the game appear on screen? If so, you can record it with your cell phone and upload that.
