Hello, i have problem with the source unpack, when i try to run the portal.bat it doesnt work. i tried a couple of things already: -Run it as administrator -Reinstall the steam version of portal and retried to run the portal.bat -Reinstall the source unpack as administrator But none of this work Can you help me please?
Firstly, make sure to read up again on how to properly install it. Mainly not putting it in the Steam folder, but rather just completely seperate.
Also you might wanna be more specific than "it doesnt work". Does it just not start at all? Does the cmd open and close again? Are you getting any error messages?
Source unpack is already installed on a completely separate folder, and when i run it the cmd open and close again. if i screenshot rapidly i can see on the cmd : -"hl2.exe" is not recognized as an intern command or extern, a program or a command folder (i didn't run the hl2.exe i run the portal.bat)
- can't find C:/windows/system32/*.dat Also when i dont run it on administrator it's telling me "failed to find steam interface" so i tried restarting my computer, and also steam by the way but it didnt worked
Can you send a screenshot of what your Source Unpack folder looks like? There should be a hl2.exe in there.
Also as a side note (since you are already in the discord), you can probably get quicker and more informed help there.
Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
