Pre full install arcade mode % ?

I've found myself speedrunning the basic arcade mode that the game offers before it's fully installed and I've got some pretty good times, can we get a category for that please? (idk why i've put % when I mean category, just ignore that I'm a bit stupid)

That would be a good idea. I used to have bad internet so when I first installed bf2 I played that for ages lol

An interesting idea the question is only can I stop the installation to run it ? Otherwise a speedrun makes no sense

Yes! you actually can stop it, the best way is to just let it install until it's in the "playable" state then either make the origin download speed to 0 or turn off your internet, the first option is more favorable.

Well then it meets the requirements to be recognized as a demo category

this is the run, there's 2 problems with it and it originates from the game lagging due to me running it on an external Hard Drive thus making the recording lag at 2 points. First, at the beginning where I did my strat to die off quickly and get the jet trooper class and second right at my last kill. My best guess as to why these 2 points lag is because at the beginning the game has a hard time loading in the different things including the whole dying UI and at the end where it's loading the finish screen. Let me know if this would be enough to invalidate the run. Thanks <3.

I know this is a pretty late reply here, but I wanted to let anyone know who was interested, this "Pre-Install" mode can be accessed at any time, it is just called "Tutorial" in one of the Singleplayer sections in the menus. You do not have to have the game half installed or anything.

I also wouldn't mind this as a category, it is pretty similar to the battle scenarios but a single replayable one. I don't think it would be a terrible category addition if people actually wanted it.
