Social services might be able to help you out. Student hostels can also be useful if you don't have a car you can stay in or a friend that will let you stay there.

I'd make sure you have a bag packed just in case. Homelessness is no joke, man. That sun doesn't wait for you to find a place to stay, and it's one of life's biggest ironies that the people that need help the most are the least likely to get it. I lived in my car for a year to get out of my dad's control back when I was in college. I remember walking into this restaurant and telling them I didn't even want money; I'd help them out if they would just pay me with food. It was the most humiliated I've ever been, but I never stopped fighting. Five years later, I'm working as a software dev for Amazon in Seattle, so don't stop fighting.
