I'm here to suggest hex codes for colouring your username on the site.
Currently this is not possible, so it's very hard for me to choose a good color/gradient for my username to match with my custom badge/profile picture. I think other people would support the idea of hex codes for usernames, too!

That idea was suggested a few months ago, but was rejected. The explanation was that the user colors should be clearly visible on regular light mode theme, regular dark mode theme, and should match most of the custom themes in the site. Most of the current colors on the list fit this criteria. However, if users gain complete control on their color, they can potentially choose "bad colors" that will not fit with lot of themes and will be hard to read.
