I am more than in agreement with this. I would love to see the best strategies for every level in this, as well as NSL U.

that would be awesome,I would do level /world runs like crazy. I think it would really help the community of this game as well.

YES!!! There are some games that I don't run just because they don't have single levels. I don't usually have the time to do full game runs, so not seeing individual levels turns me off. I also notice that there's only one moderator. If needed, I could help moderate. I wouldn't mind.

Yeah we need at least one more mod, I can be a mod as well. It seems everyone agrees that this is a good idea, we just need mods that make it happen

Current mod has been online some, but hasn't posted a run on either this or New Super Luigi U in 1+ year. If he's officially offline for long enough (3 weeks), we can apply for moderatorship here: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7/38

Could someone send ewaller a message requesting this and moderatorship for myself and dagpetter1? I would, but I don't have accounts on any of the sites he's on. It looks like of the four he has listed, he's most active on twitch, so if possible, that would probably be the ideal place to contact him. Too bad speedrun.com doesn't have PM's.

Timer starts when you are on the level you want to do, and press a to select it and timer ends when you hit the finish pole

:/ Could we not do IGT? I don't have access to capture, but I could do a screenshot when I touch the flagpole and see the seconds remaining.

IGT time is usually not accurate. Having the same rules that NSMB Wii abides by is actually more sensible.

You don't even need a capture card, you just need something to record with, I use my laptop camera when doing NSMB Wii, and they accepted the four world records I posted. As long as it's also timed accurately (during the run with a timer you have on you, and after re watching the recording you made) there shouldn't be any problem.

Norway

I have a timer when I watch your run, so dont worry, you dont need a timer.

Okay, good. I have done a run (for Super Mario Galaxy) with my webcam, but I haven't been able to upload it simply because I couldn't figure out how to attach a timer.

Oh, also, something I requested for NSLU and it applies here too: Level names. Could the levels be renamed to their in-game names? (Acorn Plains Way, Tilted Tunnel, etc.) The maps are not always linear, so it is sometimes unclear which level number each level refers to.

OK so now can we make IL rules clear? I suggest looking at NSMB Wii rules and using those for this.

Starting only as small mario (or with a mushroom) and the only powerups allowed to be used are the ones collected throughout the level.

In NSL U, the rules were set like this. They also added the fact that if the level doesn't provide the appropriate power up to 100% the level then that's the only time you are allowed to start with it.

Can we do that? and possibly remove the runs that break this rule?

Yeah agree with LightOfEon, there should be some clearly defined rules. Considering there's already a precedent I think we should follow that. I submitted my 1-2 secret exit run before reading the rules on the NSLU page, in which I started with an acorn -- I don't mind my run being removed.
