I figured I'd make a new thread where you guys can give open feedback about burst bombs, as well as update what new strats and routes are found using them. Leave your thoughts below.
I really want to test more areas that can use them because I know it can open up more things. What if we move 2-6 from the current route to play it first so we get enough orbs? We don't have to stray too far away from the current route and we also get a ramp to go up so we don't have to worry about inking a wall. Also, there's armor we can grab in 1-2 and 2-1 for sure that are actually part of the current route of those areas so that's free 20 orbs/eggs.

It takes one splat bomb and one burst bomb to open a kettle. This can make the super jump strats faster by 1-2 seconds because you don't have to wait as long to refill ink compared to throwing two splat bombs.
I found an optimal route for W2 that gets you enough orbs for burst bombs before 2-2. Just do the old route, but skip 2-2 after opening it. Then, after 2-6, super jump to 2-2. Might even be a tiiiiny bit faster than the old route.
I think I might have a way to get 100 orbs before anyway. If the get orb route takes too much time, I'm sure a new route like yours would be fine. Any time lost from skipping 2-2 would be gained by getting up to the boss kettle faster.
On 1-3 there is an armor and an inkzooka on the last leg before the zapfish. Instead of going left or right of the wall and throwing a seeker, go straight and over the wall. Throwing a seeker straight ahead still makes the left-side cycle, which isn't a huge time loss considering you're getting 20 orbs from it. Combined with the orbs from 1-2 and 2-1 armor it would be more than enough.
