Removing a run's Real Time

Hi there! I submitted a run to the A Hat in Time Speedrun contest and it was my first time submitting a run to this site. Anyway, I didn't realize that Real Time was not a necessary stat to add (at least in this category) and I didn't know what my actual Real Time was, so I just put in my Ingame-time for both stats.

So, is there a way to remove my fake Real Time stat (Maybe by changing it to 0:00:00:000?) Also, would it need to be verified again?

You can edit any run you submit, if you click on the run you'll see 3 dots in the top right corner of the page. From there you can delete or edit the run.

And yes, any edit made to a run (even something as minor as a description edit) will result in needing the run to be re-verified.

ffzThinkEyes I wonder why the mods didn't remove it when they verified it.

Quite possible they didn't realize it. I don't know what position the submitted run is but some LB's do not put things under intense scrutiny and just make sure things make sense. I'd hazard to guess that the boards go by IGT anyway so RTA is not that relevant (esp because the OP posts that RT is not a necessary stat to add).

But yeah, edit the run, remove the RT stat or figure it out from your recording, and then it'll have to get reverified, as others have said.

This is called "Bad moderation".

Changed it, mods verified it. Thanks for the answers!

This is called "Bad moderation".[/quote] This is called "moderators are human too and can make mistakes". Things CAN slip by even the most diligent mods. Just bring it to their attention. If they refuse do anything about it, then they might be poor moderators, but that's very much on a case-to-case basis.

I am not referring to mods who occasionally miss a detail during verification, I'm referring to mods who consistently and habitually verify stuff without actually, well, verifying anything. Timing being incorrect, significant portions of a run being flat-out missing, etc. I see that shit too much, and it reflects very badly on a community.

Nah, it's not "bad moderation" not to give the white glove treatment to random new runners.

It's actually horrible community management to get picky with new runners.

European Union

I'd not call it bad moderating, but rather bad housekeeping, it's not a big problem.

For example, the category OP submitted to has 274 runs. 274 of those runs have IGT, while only 41 of them have real time, that's roughly 15% of the runs. real time doesn't matter at all for this category, so removing the real time would clean things up and make it easier to read.
