Qualifying Rules

Hey all, I am new to this community and have been watching a lot of GDQ, individual streamers, and have been able to figure out some of the rules.

In order for a run to be considered it needs to be fully recorded uninterrupted.

Are there any additional rules a runner should be aware of?

Does the footage need to be uploaded to a specific location?

Each game has it's own rules, so I would always check those before doing a run of a game. There's really no global rules for runs, each game decides what is and isn't acceptable.

Additionally, the site the run is uploaded to doesn't really matter, but most mods prefer it's on an easily viewable website like Twitch (or it's equivalents like Mixer) or YouTube. Any other sites (especially those like Dropbox that involving downloading a video) are frowned upon because it makes viewing the run riskier - the less known the site, the worse it is. I'd just stick to the aforementioned 2 and you should be good.

If using Twitch, make sure you highlight your broadcasts with your run(s) so they aren't automatically deleted. There should also be an option to save past broadcasts which you need to activate first.
