You'd be best off asking the mods of the game(s) you want to run. They can give you a definitive answer.

But at least for some of the games I'm familiar with, they might allow them submitted as emu because it's essentially emulation and has a tendency to run slower than the real game as well as suffer from lots of input delay.

If possible, avoid those types of consoles and run on an emu on your computer if it can handle it and real hardware isn't an option, you'll have better times that way.
